We’re teaching you how to write excellent copy for your campaign website. Copywriting is an art, and we’ve recruited an expert to teach you how. For this hour, we’ll be joined by Maddy (@bymaddyaucoin), a fantastic copywriter and editor. PoliticsNOW will be hosting a virtual roundtable discussion with three phenomenal Northern Ontario politicians: Kristin Murray (Timmins municipal councillor), Viviane Lapointe (Member of Parliament for Sudbury) and Erika Lougheed (East Ferris municipal councillor and provincial NDP candidate for Nipissing).
What do you get when you take 29 women seeking a municipal council seat, four women seeking to be school board trustees, several campaign volunteers and three jam-packed campaign school sessions?
✨ One magical community built on support, understanding and sisterhood.
A heartfelt thank you to every woman who attended our events in the lead-up to the 2022 election. Our campaign schools were a fantastic success, thanks to your support. We saw 50 women join us for our How To Run For Municipal Council and Campaign Power Hour training events this summer, and 42 people joined us at our spring Running for Something in the North: A Roundtable Discussion. What a season! We loved every single second of it, and we’re so thankful that we were able to join you all on your leadership journey.
As we move into the next phase in planning for the 2026 Municipal election, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who joined us in 2022 for our campaign events. Together, we built a magical community based on support, understanding, and sisterhood, and we couldn't have done it without you.
As we begin this new chapter, we want to ensure we continue to meet the needs of our community. We are reaching out to the campaigns and people we worked with in 2022 to learn from their experiences and shape our offerings for the future.
In the coming year, we will focus on leadership, community organizing, and building impact. Our events will reflect this shift as we work to empower women with the skills and confidence they need to run for office.
