NOW in Politics

  • Greater Sudbury Public Library 74 Mackenzie Street Sudbury, ON, P3C 4X8 Canada (map)

Join us at our very first event, where we will discuss the current state of women in politics in our Northern Ontario communities, introduce our mission and vision for our organisation, and begin the work to get more women elected to our municipal councils for the 2018 election.

Together, we're going to tackle what makes our situation in Northern Ontario unique to us. By combining all of our talents, we can begin eliminating the divide that we see in our municipal politics and get more diverse voices elected. PoliticsNOW founders' will be presenting the story of the organisation, as well as sharing their own personal stories. They'll also share what their gameplan is to change the landscape of municipal politics in Northern Ontario. Afterwards, we'll make small groups so that we can all brainstorm together on what we can do to support women in politics, and how we're going to get more women elected.

Everybody is welcome to attend! This event will also be available on Google Hangouts. Contact us via Facebook or Twitter to make arrangements to join us from your remote location, no matter where you are in Northern Ontario.
